How y'all doin...
I'm AP your sociable host.
Welcome to the blog.
If your here, you're probably here for one of two reasons: either I know you and I told you about my blog, or you somehow stumbled across my blog.
But I digress...I finally was able to find a job. I am now an independent contractor for the St. Paul Pioneer Press, delivering between 79 and 139 papers a day. The picture above is a picture of the backseat of my car on Sunday.
Needless to say, the job sucks. Although I only do about two and a half hours of work a day, I only get paid $550 a month pre-tax. That means I might get about $1300 total this summer.
I am really trying to find either something else or something extra.
On another note, I got to go to an awesome Twins game last night vs. the Red Sox. It was student half price day, and dollar dome dog day (hows that for alliteration). Final score was eight to one Twins, with an awesome grand slam in the sixth. One of the Twins popped it up so high that it hit the roof of the dome. Brian, Shawn and I all agreed that that should from now on be a dome rule single. Apparently, a Twins player once popped it up juuuust right, so that it went through one of the holes in the roof, and there was a long delay of game as they tried to decide what it should be ruled as (it was finally ruled a ground rule double). But the best part of the game was when two guys hopped the left field fence, and ran around with seven or eight old, overweight guards chasing them, one of whom took a pretty spectacular fall. One of the guys ran all the way to left field, had Torii Hunter give him a high five, then ran to the second baseman, got a high five from him, ran from second to third base, and then jumped and dived into home. He was finally brought down by the Red Sox batboy who tackled him on the first base line.
I've decided that if I am going to go to any more Twins games, I need to get a Twins jersey, and I think I know just which players jersey to get. You see, most people wear their teams all stars jerseys. I want to wear the jersey of the worst player on the team, which in the case of the Twins, would be designated hitter Rondell White, with a .186 batting average, or pitcher Kyle Loshe, with an ERA of 9.22.
Only problem is that I somehow doubt that they make their jerseys.
