Road Trip Chronicles Vol. 4: USAF Museum- Fredericksburg VA Rest Area

(Opel G.T. that passed me in Ohio)

This leg of the trip was both the most exciting and the most frightening at the same time to drive.
(High Bridge in Ohio)

When you cross into West Virginia (a state I would really like to actually visit some time), you start hitting mountains.
(Tunnel through a mountain in West Virginia)

Reeeeal steep upslopes and reeeeal steep downslopes. About 3000 feet high if my memory serves me correctly. Plus, when I hit the worst sections of mountains, it was dark, raining, and semi's were whizzing past me. Scary, but incredibly fun and exciting. My favorite road sign was "Warning! Steep Grade Next 13 Miles. Trucks Use Low Gear" in Maryland. I also saw signs that were warning trucks to check their brakes, and runaway truck lanes. I finally stopped for the night in Fredericksburg, VA.
(Me absoulutely exhausted after being awake for 22 hours, 16 of those driving)
