'stiva's of Grand Forks, Part One

This one's for D-Monee

There is actually a Festiva more awesome than this one that I have been trying to get a picture of literally all year, but every time I see it I don't have my camera with me.

Longing...

When I took this picture, I was longing for summer.

Now that it's routinely 70 degrees out, I am almost longing for nights of -40.

Almost.

Mike Link is a Super-geek

Mike Link (the guy on the right)
and this guy (also on the right), built their own controller for Frets On Fire, an open-source Guitar Hero clone for Windows out of PVC pipe, old keyboards, and duct-tape.
It's freakin' sweet, although since the keys are 1/4 inch strips of metal, it also hurts like hell to play.
As if that wasn't enough nerdiness, he has also got it tied into the lights in his room, so they change with the music.

Awesome.

An Awesome Weekend

So yeah, Easter weekend was definitely awesome (this picture was taken just before or just after Dustin, Derek and I played one of the greatest rounds of Commodore 64 Jeopardy).

Dustin being absolutely shocked that Talia Shire went from being in Godfather Part II to being the mom in Rad
