Dream Car-hold
I often dream about what cars I would buy if I had unlimited funding, and over the past few days, I've come up with a list of the 25 I would buy if money was no object. Presented here, in no particular order, is part one...
#2, The Ford GT-40 Mk. 1
Simply gorgeous looking. I saw one of these in person at Wings and Wheels one year. We were standing around it when the owner tossed the keys to a guy and told him to fire it up. The ensuing sound was one of the most awesome and heavenly sounds I've ever heard. Obviously, mine would be painted in the Gulf colors, Light Blue and Marigold.
#3, The BMW M1
As I was passing through the Newark airport on my way to Russia, I saw an issue of Classic and Sports Car magazine with an M1 on the cover, which was the first time I had ever heard of them. I don't know what it is, there's just something about it's wedgieness that looks oh so good.
#4, The Lamborghini Espada S3
My favorite Lambo. So long and low, it's almost ugly. But it's not. So help me, I do like big rubber US safety bumpers.
#5, The Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe
I love Cobras, but I love the Daytona Coupes even more. A replica would suit me just fine.
